A place to recognise what we have created together. And discover what we can still share.
Al-Andalus invites us to see history through its encounters: ideas that found new languages, knowledge that travelled and beauty that grew from exchange. We want to bring this legacy to the people who will shape tomorrow.
We imagine an institution open to everyone: a museum for discovery, a school for learning and a forum for conversation. Two proposed homes, in the Arab world and in the lands of Al-Andalus, connected by a shared purpose.

We envision an immersive vault where gestures let you explore the stars and understand how Andalusi astronomy helped people read the world.

Voices, writing and connected projections let you trace and activate the journey of thought between cultures.

Light, the sound of water and projected vegetation create a garden that changes as you move through it.
What happens when we decide the course of water together?
A collective experience transforms a landscape through channels of light, exploring the relationship between ingenuity, land and life.
How many stories can you hear, sense and share?
Spatial music, textures and scent landscapes reveal the connections of everyday life. Each person chooses how to take part.
What emerges when your creation meets someone else’s?
Gestures and touch surfaces let you create patterns that spread across the architecture and combine into a shared work.

The geometry and materials of Andalusi heritage inspire a contemporary language: generous spaces, accessible routes and gardens where knowledge is part of the life of the city.
05 Two proposed homes
One institution, two places of encounter.

A home open to the world, sharing the legacy of Al-Andalus. Architecture, education and cultural programmes brought together in a new place of encounter.
Location to be definedA gateway to the landscapes, cities and crafts of its history. A starting point for exploring the heritage and connecting the museum experience with the places that inspired it.
Location to be definedTravelling exhibitions, shared programmes and exchange fellowships: a proposal for each home to lead to the other.
06 From purpose to reality
The initiative is in its founding phase. The next step is to bring together the people and institutions who will help define it and make it possible.
Explore ways to take partBuild the first partnerships, establish the organisation and develop an academic advisory council.
Develop a travelling exhibition, a digital platform and an inaugural forum.
Determine host cities, feasibility, funding and exhibition design.
Bring the two homes and their cultural and educational programmes to life.
We propose a diverse, independent academic advisory council. The narrative should distinguish evidence, interpretation and open questions.
Governance and funding will be defined with the first partners. These phases are indicative; no host cities or opening dates have been announced.
